Environmentally Friendly

Both Suffolk Coastal Services and Waveney Norse hold BS EN ISO 14001 Environmental Management System accreditation. In running our business we aim to minimise the negative impacts that we have on the environment and to maximise the positive influence we can have. We use fuel efficient vehicles, recycle a high proportion of our own waste and have qualified environmental and waste management staff who can tell you how we can help to make your business greener.

We work with a number of partners to promote environmental issues, including supporting Suffolk County Council's "greenest county" initiative, working with Trinity College to provide native shrubs at Trinity Dock and helping the Port of Felixstowe recycle their waste. Our Waste Management Officers give talks on recycling to schools and community groups.

Our building cleaning staff use only environmentally friendly products and we route our vehicles to minimise mileage and consequent environmental pollution. We have a wide range of recycling services available to businesses including paper, cardboard, glass and compostable waste recycling.
