Suffolk Coastal Services and Waveney Norse offer a complete facilities management service to cover all of your needs effectively.

Our service allows organisations time to concentrate on core business, safe in the knowledge that they will have their premises fully functional, whenever they need them.

Managment

Our management team is focussed on building the best customer relationships at all times, providing you with a consistent service and guaranteed easy access to your contract manager.  In addition our larger customers are able to access a 24/7  helpdesk for fault logging and real time job tracking, as well as a 24/7 out of hours telephone fault line for fault reporting, manned by our own staff, who are familiar with our clients' premises.

Staff and Training

Our highly motivated staff are committed to completing their work with the highest level of care and attention to detail.  New recruits are checked for security purposes and undergo full induction training before being deployed on our contracts.  On-going training ensures staff are kept up to date with health and safety issues and industry requirements.  Our policies and procedures reinforce our health and safety standards and ensure compliance with any special requirements that are relevant to our clients' contracts.

Health and Safety

Risk assessments are undertaken at client facilities prior to contract commencement.  Our resulting work plans are regularly reviewed and our on-going supervision ensures that procedures continue to be adhered to throughout the term of the contract.

Cleaning services

Our companies, and the wider Norse group, provide general cleaning in commercial, industrial and public sector premises including offices, schools, local authority buildings, leisure facilities and shopping centres.

We provide a hygienic, clean and safe environment for your employees and the public, where the highest standards of cleanliness are evident and where health and safety is always complied with.

The leisure industry

Our leisure industry clients include sports clubs, swimming pools and multiplex leisure complexes.  A seven day service is available and our staff are given safety training for working in these environments.  We use the most modern equipment to ensure the minimum disruption to your customers.

Education premises

Norse is a trusted contractor to the education sector in Norforlk and Suffolk. We provide services to village schools, large secondary schools and colleges. We adapt our service to their needs providing additional cleaning and maintenance, including floor sanding and repair, over weekends and school holidays.

Healthcare premises

Our specialisms include waste disposal, thus we can collect and safely dispose of hazardous healthcare waste including 'sharps' and other medical waste from hospitals, medical centres, dentists, acupuncturists, nursing and residentials homes, vets, laboratories, etc.

Building maintenance

Our building maintenance service covers everything from reactive out-of-hours repairs to planned cyclical maintenance and painting and decorating.  Health and safety legislation can be a minefield and we can help you ensure that your premises comply with a whole range of regulations including Electricity at Work Regulations, Gas Safety Regulations, Pressure Systems Safety REgulations, Control of Asbestos as Work Regulations, etc..  A 24/7 real time internet based helpdesk is provided for our larger customers, as well as a 24/7 emergency response service where th person you talk to will know yhour premises and be able to arrange a prompt and appropriate response.

Waste and recycling

We provide a complete range of waste and recycling containers, from sacks to small, medium or large wheeled bins. We can arrange collections at a frequency to suit the needs of your business and will provide you with full Duty of Care documentation.

Grounds maintenance

Our experienced grounds staff can plant and maintain shrub beds, supply and water hanging baskets and ensure that grassed areas are regularly cut to keep your premises looking attractive for your customers, visitors and staff.  We also provide a tree inspection and maintenance service, to help you ensure your premises are safe for your visitors.

Road sweeping

Our street sweeping vehicles provide regular or responsive sweeps of your site, including clearing autumn leaf-fall and also gulley emptying to meet our requirements.  One-off or regular litter-picks can also be arranged.

Car park inspection and maintenance

We provide inspection, maintenance and cash collection services to car parks. We offer an inspection regime from 0800-1900 seven days a week.  Our inspectors check all vehicles are parked correctly and have paid and displayed the correct fee where necessary.

During ice and freezing temperatures, the car parks are gritted for the benefit of both car park users and our staff.  Our cyclical and responsive repair and maintenance service includes white lining, surface repairs and lighting issues.

Suffolk Coastal Services staff are experienced and well trained and are members of the relevant professional bodies associated with their work (CIWM, , etc).

Our Clients

We currently provide facilities management services to a range of clients including:

  • As a subcontractor to the LandGroup (PFI holders for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service) we provide a full facilities management service to some of Suffolk's fire stations.

  • We have been providing an extensive waste, recycling and street cleansing service to the Port of Felixstowe since April 2007.
