Welcome to Suffolk Coastal Services and Waveney Norse

Suffolk Coastal Services and Waveney Norse are subsidiaries of Norse Commercial Services, a major facilities management and services provider in the East of England and beyond.  Between them, Suffolk Coastal Services and Waveney Norse provide waste and recycling services to over 100,000 homes and more than 2000 businesses in the Suffolk Coastal and Waveney District Council areas.  Our public sector clients include Suffolk County Council schools, libraries and police stations (where we provide waste collection and recycling services), Ipswich Borough Council (building cleaning) and we also provide a facilities management service to the Suffolk Fire and Rescue service, acting on behalf of the Land Group.

Our award winning grounds maintenance teams tend the District's parks and gardens.  We help our town and parish council's to achive success each year in the Anglia in Bloom competition.  We tend sportsfields (winning prestigious FA awards) and conduct regular playground equipment inspections.

We provide the District Councils with a range of environmental services including street sweeping, dog warden and abandoned vehicle removal and litter bin provision and emptying. 

We manage the District Councils' car parks, including running the cyclical maintenance program, provision of car parking meters and tickets, cash collection and management and provision of car park inspectors.

We use leading edge technology to provide our services, including vehicle tracking and hand held PDAs with automatic upload to our internet based systems.

An on site customer services team deals with all our customers. They collect data that allows the District Council to report its performance on a range of National Indicators, as required.

We are at the forefront of environmental awareness and initiatives, including helping District Council in writing successful bids for BREW and LABGI funding.  Suffolk Coastal Services has ISO14001 environmental accreditation and Waveney Norse is working towards this recognition.  Both companies are working with businesses and the public across our region to help them to recycle their waste.
